A love of art...
A mutual interest in art draws two shy university students together. Ben admires Vinnie’s painting of the university building, so Vinnie invites him to an exhibition of his artwork. From a wealthy family, Ben purchases some of Vinnie’s art and arranges for the artist to personally hang the paintings in his apartment.
Starry, starry night...
Ben commissions Vinnie to paint his portrait, in order to spend more time with the artist. On the night of the sitting, Vinnie fingerpaints the starry night on Ben’s chest... and they kiss. They begin a relationship beneath the night sky, God’s own canvas.
But every relationship has its ups and downs and so it is with theirs. When Ben thinks Vinnie spends too much time with a fellow artist, his jealousy drives a wedge between them and forces Vinnie into the very thing Ben dreads.
Hold tight to your dreams...
Ben and Vinnie will have to walk through fire before they can find one another again. But if they believe, and if they keep their faith in the night sky and each other, just maybe they can make their dreams of love come true.
Vinnie led me across the room, pulling me by the shirt. “Lie back on the sofa for me and I'll paint you.”
As if in a dream, I settled my head against one arm of the sofa, my legs dangling over the other end, scarcely breathing now. Vinnie knelt on the floor beside me with an open pot of paint in his hand.
Teasingly, he dipped his index finger into the dark blue paint as if it were cream he would lick off. His finger connected with my skin and he made short strokes across my chest, the coldness of the paint making me shiver.
Mesmerised by the closeness of his beautiful face, the view of the night sky through the window, and the picture forming upon my chest, I watched as dab after dab and stroke after stroke he built up a mix of shades, until a dark night sky with the moon and stars were there to be seen—a masterpiece, drying on the warmth of my blazing skin, a transient thing of beauty. His fingers skimmed my skin causing gooseflesh to ripple in waves down my arms and thighs. My nipples pebbled in response to his touch.
And when he was done, his lips met mine in a languid kiss; how our first kiss should have been—sweet, innocent, and full of promise. He pulled away, smiling down at me.
This was the beginning of something special.
We’ve all loved. We’ve all laughed.
Sadly, we’ve also probably all known loss in one form or another.
And, yes, we at Wayward Ink are sure we’ve all experienced lust!
In Love, Loss, Laughter & Lust, you’ll experience one or more of the “L”s as we take you on a roller coaster of emotions.
Whether you like to sigh over the sweet, cry for the broken-hearted, enjoy a good laugh, or get a little hot and bothered; there’s something for everyone in this collection.

Starting on Friday August 1, 2014, and each subsequent Friday, I am taking part in FREE FICTION FRIDAY via my WordPress blog.
I will post a chapter each week of a multi-chaptered story and will also provide the link to other authors who are also participating that week.
The idea is authors will post their work on Fridays. Some will post every week, others whenever they can. There are no word limits and no mandatory prompts to follow. The site will collect the links to everyone who is posting that week and create a free fiction post on the website. People can stop by and see who’s posting and read a sample of what’s being offered and be able to click a link to read more.
We’re hoping to have a large diverse group, so all authors are welcome to join us. Anyone interested in joining can contact Grace - firstname.lastname@example.org or Andy - email@example.com.

About The Perfect Size For You

by Lily G. Blunt
Little does Ty know this hook-up will lead to a friendship that will subsequently change his life. Can Ty remain friends with Andy or will he always want more? And how will Ty react when Andy finally goes on a date with another man?
Not even counting the money, I shoved it in my back pocket. "So, what do you have in mind for this afternoon?"
He flushed again and shrugged. "I'd like to talk for a while and kiss and cuddle, if that's okay?"
Geez! Easy money.
I didn't wish to hurt his feelings. "Umm... couldn't you find a guy from school to do that with?" That would certainly be cheaper for him. Not that I was complaining.
He shook his head, looking embarrassed, and leaned against the kitchen counter. He was so fucking cute.
"Are you even out yet?" I took a step closer to him.
He shook his head again, glancing at my lips. "No, no one knows I'm gay."
I ran a finger up his arm, and placed my hand gently on his shoulder. "So, have you done anything with a guy before?"
His head tilted down as if ashamed, his wide brown eyes peering up at me. "No, that's why I called you. So if I ever get to date this guy I really like, I'll know what to do." His voice was just above a whisper.
We were close now, our bodies practically touching. He smelled nice, of soap and shampoo. His breath was hot and coming out in quick pants.
"Relax for me, Andy."
I slid my hand behind his neck, and teased the soft hair at his nape. Our lips met softly for a first sweet kiss. His eyes fluttered closed, and I swept my mouth over his, my lips parting slightly. His mouth opened for me, his tongue peeked out and lapped teasingly against mine. He tasted minty and fresh. It didn't take long before it became a passionate lip lock, with Andy moaning into my mouth.
I nibbled on his lower lip. "Mmm... you're a quick learner."
